Certification Cycle

Please note that this is when the SCOs will begin certifying students. If you do not receive an email within three weeks about your certification, please reach out to your School Certifying Official(Staff). Students who do not complete their certification request by the first day of certifying will be certified after those who met the priority deadline are completed.

Summer 2024:

Priority Deadline to Submit Certification Request(To Ensure Penny Memo by Bill Date for CH33: May 1, 2024
First Certification for First Mini and Full Semester: May 2, 2024
Tuition/Fee Billing for First Mini and Full Semester / First Certification for Second Mini: May 31, 2024
Tuition/Fee Billing for Second Mini: July 2, 2024

Fall 2024:

Priority Deadline to submit Certification Request(To Ensure Penny Memo by Bill Date for CH33): July 29, 2024
First Certification: August 1, 2024
Tuition/Fee Billing: September 10, 2024

Federal Benefits (Chapter 31, 33, 35, 1606)

All students using a Federal VA Education benefit are required to submit a certification request each semester. This notifies the VRC of your intent to use benefits. If the request is not submitted, the VRC will not certify your enrollment to the VA nor place penny memos on accounts for CH33 Students. Please click on the “Certification Request” link and fill out the information entirely. If you are pursuing a dual major, make sure to state each major on the form.

Certification Request

Important Notes:

    1. Student will be notified when their submission is reviewed by their SCO within a week of submission. For students receiving penny memos, please make sure you double check that your penny memo is on the e-bill once you receive the email from Smartsheet.
    2. Certification starts August 1, 2024. Once certified for the semester, the student will receive an email with their Enrollment ID.
    3. Dual Major Students: Students will choose their 1st major’s college, and then indicate both majors under the major section.
    4. The VRC will not certify classes if this form is not received. This is your responsibility to submit this form each semester online. Submissions after the priority deadline may result in delayed payment.
    5. If you do not wish to use benefits for a semester, you will not submit this request form.
