During the week of Thanksgiving, the ASVA partners with the Campus Veterans Association (CVA) at the University of Alabama to complete a 150-mile ruck march between the university’s stadiums, Jordan-Hare Stadium and Bryant-Denny Stadium. Ruckers carry a 22lbs rucksack representing the 22 veterans a day who are lost to suicide. The items in the rucksack are donated to the Alabama State Veterans Homes, Homeless Veterans of Alabama, and Three Hots and a Cot.
If interested in participating, donating or collecting donatable items, please contact Justin “Hotwheels” Schwab or email oir@groups.auburn.edu.
